Princetown. Known for its links to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle writer of The hound of the Baskervilles who stayed and wrote at the then Old Duchy Hotel now it is the Dartmoor National Park Visitors Centre in the heart of Princetown.
Buckfast abbey. Experience serenity and an inspirational day out at Buckfast Abbey. Nestled in a valley on the edge of Dartmoor, the Abbey is home to a working community of Benedictine monks and is one of the top tourist attractions in the Westcountry. Pop to the shop to try some of their famous Buckfast wine strangely quite popular in Scotland.
Haytor, Bench Tor, Yar Tor to be honest Dartmoor is beautiful and anywhere you stop your car will be full of stunning views and history and if you are lucky Dartmoor ponies. Just remember to help protect the Dartmoor. #lovemoorlife

Have you heard of the Moor Otters Trail? it’s a great way to explore the Dartmoor area and have some fun with the kids while you’re at it.
Moor Otters is a feel-good public arts project that gathers up young and old for an amazing journey of learning and discovery, creating stories and making memories.
This summer 81 decorated Otter with Cub sculptures will be released onto Dartmoor to create four arts trails, standing tall on plinths waiting to be spotted. There will also be a Mayflower trail in Plymouth and several otters in gateway towns and villages.
At the end of the summer ‘otter-spotters’ as well as art collectors and individuals, will have the opportunity to give their favourite Otter a new home when they are auctioned to raise funds for Donate for Dartmoor.
