Founded by Claire O’Brien in 2020, Devon Stays is a Dartmouth based, all-female team with more than 30 years’ experience in the tourism and hospitality industry.
Every member of the crew is based locally but we have international experience and have all worked in industries beyond travel and hospitality as well. We feel that our wider collective experience gives us a better understanding of the wants and needs of both the homeowners we work with and their guests.
While we pride ourselves on being professional, we’re also extremely down to earth, which is why we have a flexible structure, allowing for individuality to shine through (yours and ours). That means we take the time to understand and accommodate individual preferences wherever possible, we will offer realistic advice to make sure home owners get what they want out of letting their properties and we will do everything we can to make sure holidaymakers have the best getaway possible.
Our hands-on approach means we are proactive about making sure everything is taken care of at your holiday let. That might mean double checking that the windows weren’t left open after you leave, observing letting patterns to offer recommendations on how to improve sales opportunities, or offering advice to your guests on where to go and what to see during their Devon holiday.

We treat each one as if it were our own, and we take time to understand the happy memories and favourite features that homeowners want their guests to enjoy. As a result, we also love to recommend different places to different people, whether a guest is looking to go on a romantic break or a getaway with the kids. We can suggest locations in the heart of pretty seaside towns so you have easy access to all the shops and restaurants without having to get in the car, as well as those that are right by the beach so you can run to the end of the garden and jump in the sea.
Our local knowledge and experience means we can happily offer recommendations, luxury extras and a personal service to allow guests to enjoy their holiday to the full, and homeowners know their properties are being looked after and giving other people the chance to make wonderful memories in the South West.
